A little bird with a very big reason to keep fighting.

Meet one of the smallest members of our Wildlife Support Series: the Florida Grasshopper Sparrow Earcuffs, inspired by one of the rarest birds in North America.

Found nowhere else in the world outside of Florida, the Florida grasshopper sparrow makes its home among the dry prairies of south-central Florida. And despite its name, it isn't actually named for what it eats. Its distinctive song sounds a bit like the buzz of a grasshopper.

This tiny bird has faced an enormous fight for survival. Habitat loss and fragmentation, flooding, predators, and changes to Florida's natural fire cycles have pushed the Florida grasshopper sparrow dangerously close to extinction.

But its story isn't over.

Conservationists, scientists, and organizations across Florida are working together to breed, release, protect, and rebuild wild populations of these incredible little birds.

And we're helping in the way we know best: turning wildlife into wearable art that starts conversations and gives back.

Wear the Wild

Our Florida Grasshopper Sparrow Earcuffs recreate the warm golden colors and distinctive markings of this tiny prairie bird in an original Salty 3D Prints design.

Each pair is:

  • Original artwork designed and 3D sculpted by Salty 3D Prints
  • Lightweight and comfortable for extended wear
  • Made from lightweight PLA
  • Designed to be worn without piercings
  • Hand-finished by our small husband-and-wife team in Florida
  • Part of our Wildlife Support Series

Your Purchase Helps Wildlife

A portion of proceeds from this design supports wildlife conservation through the Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida, helping protect the species and wild places that make Florida so extraordinary.

The Florida grasshopper sparrow is more than one tiny bird. Its survival is connected to the health of Florida's disappearing dry prairie ecosystem.

We want these little birds to keep singing in the Sunshine State for generations to come.

Wear something wild. Start a conversation. Help protect what inspires it.
